Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced equity analyst to join our team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting fundamental research and analysis on companies within a designated sector or geographic region, with the goal of generating investment recommendations for our portfolio managers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research and analysis on companies within a designated sector or geographic region, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and management interviews
• Develop investment recommendations based on your research and analysis, and present your findings to portfolio managers
• Monitor the performance of companies within your coverage universe and communicate any changes in your investment thesis to portfolio managers
• Collaborate with other members of the investment team to share insights and ideas, and contribute to the development of the firm’s overall investment strategy
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and market trends, and attend industry conferences and events as needed
• Build relationships with company management teams and industry contacts to gather information and insights that can inform your investment research
• Mentor and develop junior analysts within the team, providing guidance and feedback on their research and analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an equity analyst, preferably within a buy-side investment management firm
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct financial statement analysis and industry research
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex investment ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, and to build relationships with company management teams and industry contacts
• CFA designation or progress towards completion is strongly preferred
• Deep knowledge of a specific sector or geographic region is a plus
